Should I buy an Inflatable or Epoxy stand up paddle board?

After figuring out what style of paddle board you want, it's time to decide whether you want an inflatable paddle board or epoxy paddle board. There are lots of differences between the two, and it is really important to take all of the differences into account to ensure you make the right decision when buying your board. We at BuySup are specialists in inflatable Stand UPaddele boards. These boards are the best selling ones cause the performance is nowadays comparable with the Epoxy ones but much easier to transport and better priced! Here we have four reasons to choose an inflatable SUP:

  • For a beginner inflatable paddle boards are ideal because firstly they are cheaper and secondly will work in any conditions.
  • Inflatable SUPs are ideal for the type of paddler that has little storage space at home, as they pack down into a bag the size of a small suitcase.
  • When it comes to transportation, inflatable SUP's are ideal for the paddler who wants to drive to their local spots but doesn't have the space in their vehicle. Also, you'll be able to go wherever with your board, regardless of its size.
  • Nine out of ten of the inflatable SUP’s come in a complete package with a paddle, storage bag, pump, fin and leash. Easy does it!

How to look after your iSUP

When you are using your iSUP on a regular basis, it is really important that you look after and maintain it, to ensure that you can keep riding and paddling your paddle board long into the future. Here are a few simple tips to help you keep your paddle board floating!

► Whether you buy an inflatable board or epoxy SUP, it's vital that you remember to store your board out of direct sunlight as this can damage the materials used in the construction of the board. Usage in direct sunlight is no problem, but storage is!

► After you have used the paddle board in salt water, it is important that you rinse all your equipment with fresh water, as the salt water can erode some materials used on Stand UPaddle boards.

► Of course we do note hope this but if you have damaged your board, please make sure that you repair it professionally. One bad job repair can mean no more enjoying paddling for your whole family. That’s a shame, right?
